Under certain U.S. state privacy laws (including California’s CPRA), residents may direct a business to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (including use for cross-context behavioral/targeted advertising).

How to exercise your opt-out choices

1) Cookie/Tracking Preferences

What do “sell” and “share” mean?

“Sell” includes disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. “Share” (CPRA) includes disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising (also called targeted advertising). Typical examples involve third-party tracking technologies. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Categories of personal information potentially affected

  • Online identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address, device/browser data) related to analytics/ads technologies.
  • Contact details you provide (if used for targeted advertising; we do not do this without consent).

We minimize use of trackers and do not disclose client matter information for advertising.

Verification & authorized agents

We will verify your request to a reasonable degree (e.g., by confirming access to your email/phone). Authorized agents must provide proof of authorization (e.g., signed permission) and we may ask the consumer to verify directly.

Timing, appeals & non-discrimination

  • We aim to honor opt-out signals immediately and formal requests within required timelines.
  • If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email or contacting privacy@dajohnsonlaw.com.
  • We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Children’s data

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child’s information was processed, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
