2) No legal advice; no attorney–client relationship

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Darrell A. Johnson, Attorney at Law AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

12) Governing law; dispute resolution (Site use only)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from the Site or these Terms that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, on an individual basis. You and Darrell A. Johnson, Attorney at Law waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. This arbitration clause applies only to Site-use disputes and does not govern any attorney–client relationship, which is subject to separate engagement terms.

If arbitration clauses are not enforceable in your jurisdiction, disputes will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
